So, the year’s flown by and now it’s Christmas again. But what is it all really in aid of?
People are risking life and limb travelling all over the world in mainly awful weather conditions, just to go and swap unwanted tat with people they don’t communicate with for the rest of the year. Supermarkets make a killing on foodstuffs that people don’t generally even consider eating throughout the rest of the year.
Shopping centres are full of even more silly gormless people than usual and people make silly buggers of themselves at office parties all in the name of Jesus.
Everyone moans after Christmas that they have overindulged and need to “detox,” thus making January even more miserable for themselves. and yet each and every year they do the same.
So, overall, it’s the usual over-hyped, expensive, contradictory festive season that we see every year. Fun fun fun.
